The Microframe SMPTE Time Code Sync Master mini (Model D8009) is both a master smpte time-code generator and a smpte time-code display for video frame time stamping.

Overview

The Microframe SMPTE Time Code Sync Master (Model D8010) is both a master smpte time-code generator and a smpte time-code display for video frame time stamping. It requires no wireless signal or continuous tethered connection - it simply syncs...and stays synced. The Sync Master is the industry’s first and most affordable SMPTE time-code generator and display reference contained in a pocket-sized form factor. It remains synchronized to other Sync Masters or any SMTPE time code source  for up to 8 hours with at most ±1 frame of deviation.

Typical battery life is 6-8 hours   

User Settings 

The follwoing are user configurable settings adjusted by using the three buttons on the end of the Sync Master

• Start Time
• Sleep Time ( how long the LED's illuminate after button press)
• Frame Rates 3.976, 24, 25, 29.97, 29.97 DF and 30 frames per second.
• Flip Display direction (D8010 only)  for cabeling or other reasons you may want to have the BNC connector on the right instead of left.
• Hours Shift (D8009 only)  for shoots where you need two digits of hours, combine "even" and "odd" frame indicators and show a full 2 digits of hours.
• Display brightness.  Set how bright LED indicators are to save battery life or match camera settings.
