The Microframe Model 230, 3-digit Remote Display, is designed to operate with any standard RS232, RS485, or 20 mA current loop input to provide Remote Display capabilities for a computer, PLC, or scale display. The Model 230 Display contains Ultra-bright LEDs configured in 5.5-inch tall digits viewable up to 125 feet and is encased in an extruded aluminum case.
Operation
The computer passes numbers and a carriage return (ASCII 13D ), and the numbers will be displayed on the Model 230. Pass a carriage return to display a blank screen (ASCII 13D). Insert the decimal point in the number string, and it will light. Include a colon in the number string to light the colon for that number. Leading zeros will be blanked if the user-selectable option is enabled.
Microframe's 200 Series displays will show positive and negative integers. The 230, 3-digit display will show a negative symbol. However, the negative symbol replaces the first digit, leaving only 2 integers. Example: Positive [123] or Negative [-12]
